maximizeg3 powerbooks and iMacs

Main Memory Architecture:
New Apple PowerBook G3s/333-400 Mhz, older PowerBook G3s/233-300 Mhz and iMacs [Older 233-333 Mhz] have a similar main memory architecture. The system has two memory expansion slots and main memory is specified to be upgraded to a maximum of 384 MB using 256 MB SO-DIMM in the top slot and 128 MB SO-DIMM in the bottom slot. The memory expansion sockets in these systems have a height restriction for the memory modules. The top slot allows modules with a 2" height and the bottom slot allows modules with a 1.5" height.

Now with a 216.235.114.160 256 MB Low Profile SDRAM DIMM for the bottom slot, the main memory of these systems can be upgraded to 512 MB [Maximum].

More memory density per slot is possible!

Within the restricted height you can fit a Trans Intl 256 MB DIMM in each slot giving a total of 512 MB of main memory. This exceeds Apple's original specification of 384 MB. enhancing PowerBook G3 [Wallstreet] 233-300 Mhz , PowerBook [Lombard] 333-400 Mhz capability by giving users desktop memory capacity of 512 MB. Our 256 MB (Low Profile) memory modules conform to industry standard SDRAM SO-DIMM height specification of 1.25" or less. The memory module has standard backward compatibility.
